Evolve worked with Keon Homes, Housing Plus Group and NHS Property Services to deliver a new Extra Care scheme comprising 68 modern apartments and 10 bungalows for people over the age of 55 who require a home with level access and access to care. The homes are served by a range of communal facilities, amenity open space and landscaping. The scheme is currently under construction and due to be completed in 2027.
Working with the clients, Evolve justified the need for the scheme using the Council's evidence base on specialist housing and local demographics and demonstrated that the change of use of the land (away from health) would not result in the loss of health services or jobs. Evolve also guided the project through the pre-application and application stages, helping to shape a high-quality and sustainable design that responds sensitively to existing trees and neighbouring properties.
