The site is proposed to be allocated for 750 dwellings, a new First School, specialist older persons accommodation and other supporting green and social infrastructure. Through the Local Plan Review ‘exceptional circumstances’ were demonstrated for Green Belt release.
To date three separate outline planning applications have been submitted. An outline planning application for 750 dwellings (is currently pending determination. An outline application for 115 dwellings, representing the first phase of the development, was approved in early 2026 and a reserved matters application is currently pending determination.
