Evolve secured planning permission for the conversion of the upper floors of the former Dudley Police Station into residential accommodation. The scheme was designed to preserve the building's architectural and historic character, reflecting its former use as a police station. Key heritage features were retained, including one of the original cells, which was incorporated as a feature within an apartment. The grand entrance doors to the police station were also retained.
The project demonstrates how prominent municipal buildings that are no longer suitable for modern operational requirements can be successfully adapted for new uses, while preserving their historic character and celebrating their original purpose.
