Evolve is currently providing planning support to Cameron Homes and JCB in respect of the former JCB Works site. The scheme proposes the delivery of 119 bespoke homes alongside a new town park incorporating the re-naturalisation of Picknal Brook. The application site represents a brownfield site on the edge of Uttoxeter town centre that has been vacant for over 17 years. It forms part of a housing allocation in the adopted Local Plan for 257 homes identified in the adopted Local Plan.
Cameron Homes, working in partnership with JCB, has taken a comprehensive approach in the formulation of the proposed Bamford Place scheme spanning both sides of Pinfold Street. The design of the homes provides a positive architectural response to the conservation area and preserves the setting of both Balance Street and Pinfold Street. A complex brownfield scheme with a range of constraints, the site now benefits from a resolution to grant detailed planning permission.
